TT175

Although the sem priest we see on the south wall is making a libation, the offerings are over on the west wall. On the table are stacked up breads, fruit baskets and lotus flowers (Second picture). The deceased and his wife are sitting on chairs with high backs placed on a mat and with their backs turned to the niche. Their feet are propped up on a footrest. Under the seat of the woman, her pet, a dog, is seated, contemplating the scene. This is a type rarely represented, with a black and white coat and an elongated skull giving it a long muzzle.
The tiny Theban Tomb TT175 has the distinction of being decorated, but not inscribed: columns for the texts are present but empty (with one small exception); so we do not know the owner's name
