The goddess of the West.
This limestone relief fragment depicts the <A HREF="God">goddess</A> Imentet. She was the personification of the West and the protective <A HREF="God">goddess</A> of the Theban necropolis. She is depicted as a woman with the hieroglyph for the west on her head, and appears to be a form of the <A HREF="God">goddess</A> Hathor. Her most important duty was to receive and to protect the dead in the necropolis. She never had her own cult.
