Pre-dynastic Naqada cooking pot - scientific analysis has shown that this pot once contained a meat stew with honey

 Round pottery cooking vessel with two lug handles, painted red spirals decoration and black fire damage around rim.According to Dr Stephen Buckley of York University, who performed spectrometric tests on several Harrogate Egyptian items,the residual matter in this cooking vessel is likely to have been a hot meat stew which was mixed with honey.
